Vice-Rector for External Relations, academic and expert staff at the Department of Social Sciences and Law
Jitka Lidaříková is the Vice-Rector for External Relations and a lecturer of the English and German languages. She has experience in international cooperation and business. She is a graduate of the English and German Philology study programs at the Faculty of Arts at Palacky University. She lived in London for four years, she worked there in the Export Department of U-POL Ltd. which exports automobile paint products to more than 80 countries in the world. Her main priority was to approve orders placed by customers from German speaking countries. She evaluated the financial situation of clients from all over the world, determined the risk factor of potential customers as well as of existing accounts receivable. She was responsible for communication with clients regarding payments; her other duties included reporting, sending reminders (bills), collection of debts, setting up the credit limits for clients, and the arrangement of payment schedules for subscribers. She filled in for the Manager of Transport, Shipping and Air Transport in his absence. She translated catalogues and other texts for the firm, most often from English to German, or served as an interpreter during technical training sessions. Upon her return to the Czech Republic, she continued to work in the area of export / import and as a translator as well.
Since 2010, she has been the expert supervisor of the language preparation section at Moravian Business College Olomouc while, at the same time, carrying out a variety of managerial functions. Mgr. Lidaříková has a great deal of experience with teaching various levels of English and German, Business English in particular, as well as with translations from a multitude of fields and interpreting at events or training sessions.
