Academic staff at the Department of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics
Jan Wossala studied Pedagogy of Mathematics at the Faculty of Education of Palacky University in Olomouc (further referred to as FoE UP) where he also successfully completed his doctoral study program in Pedagogy in 2017 by defending his dissertation on the influence of the integration of a foreign language into teaching mathematics. He has published scientific papers as conference contributions and papers in journals. During his doctoral studies, he completed two study stays: at the University of Eastern Finland and Valdosta State University in the USA.
Between the years 2016 and 2017, he was a member of the Academic Senate at FoE UP. As an external staff, he taught at the Department of Mathematics at FoE UP. He further expanded his pedagogical practical experience by teaching at an elementary school. He specializes in the didactic usage of ICT, the area of the integration of a foreign language into teaching (CLIL – Content and Language Integrated Learning) and in the area of mentoring.
