Academic staff and senior lecturer at the Department of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics
Vratislava Mošová studied at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of today´s Masaryk University (at the time it was called UJEP – University of John the Evangelist Purkyně) in Brno majoring in Specialist Mathematics between 1972 and 1977. In 1982, she also passed her rigorous examination there and gained the RNDr. degree. At the Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, she successfully completed the aspirant process and gained the CSc. degree.
After she completed her studies, she worked at the Department of Mathematics at the Armed Forces Military Academy in Vyškov and later at the Department of Computer Science at the Faculty of Science in Olomouc. She has also taught externally at Tomas Bata University Zlín, Přerov College of Logistics and at the Faculty of Education of Palacky University in Olomouc. She has now worked at the Department of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics of Moravian Business College Olomouc.
Her main interests have focused on partial differential equations, functional analysis, numeric methods, mathematical theories of flexibility, especially non-network methods of solving differential equations, tomography, wavelet transformation and time series. Her research results have been published at various international conferences both in the Czech Republic and abroad. She is the author of 57 scientific papers and the co-author of 3 monographs. She has created 9 textbooks for students, these enable students to have a look at a variety of mathematical branches. She worked on the organization and leadership of mathematical seminars for many years. She has participated in expert seminars of organizations such as the Mathematics Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic in Prague, the Faculty of Civil Engineering of Brno University of Technology, Palacky University Olomouc, and the Technical University of Ostrava. She has been a member of the Union of Czech Mathematicians and Physicists for many years.
