Kateřina Ivanová focuses on the methodological and ethical aspects of social responsibility and values. She was among the founders of the Department of Humanities at Moravian Business College Olomouc. In her educational practice, she emphasizes the ethical principles of beneficence (doing good deeds) and non-maleficence (causing no harm), both of which she perceives as the basis of all further human endeavour in both the private lives of people and their careers, whether in firms, non-profit organizations, public service organizations or in state administration. She has published over 200 works, including papers in monographs, abstracts and posters at conferences. She is also the author or co-author of 6 monographs, 3 textbooks, 7 study guides and 52 original papers in peer-reviewed journals or impact-factor journals. She has been officially quoted 30 times on the Web of Science based on 29 of her published works. Over 200 citations of her work are listed in Google Scholar. She received her Associate Professor degrees in the field of Nursing and Social Medicine, as an undergraduate she studied Androgogy and Sociology. She is a member of a number of scholarly medical societies and she gave lectures at 40 conferences abroad.
