Jarmila Zimmermannová works as the rector of Moravian Business College Olomouc and senior lecturer at the Department of Economics. In the years 2003 – 2009 she worked in various positions at the Ministry of the Environment of the Czech Republic. Her most recent positions were as the deputy director of the Department for Renewable Energy and Transport and as the director of the Section for Ecological Tax Reform and Transport. She represented the Ministry of Environment of the CR in the OECD working group called Joint Meetings of Tax and Environment Experts. Her expertise focuses on the area of financial and economic tools for environment protection, especially on the ex-ante and ex-post analyses of economic tools in the field of air and the climate protection, such as ecological taxation and emission permits for businesses. She is the author of numerous scientific papers and the monography called “Ecological Taxation and the Modelling of its Impacts“. In terms of the ERASMUS program, she gave lectures at universities in Hungary (Budapest Business School) and Germany (Hochschule Nordhausen; Duale Hochschule Villingen Schwenningen).
